He does know a few words but usually only uses them when his head is in his food dish or inside his hut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Otherwise, he is commenting on anything and everything and every one morning until night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">The calls are not especially piercing thankfully.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">If you have a home with curtains, padded furnishings, carpets, the calls of most birds won&#8217;t seem as loud as if you have wide-open rooms, no curtains, wood floors, and little to absorb the calls.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">MitchR adds:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Despite the coin shortage I&#8217;m going to jump in here and add my two cents<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Kudos for exploring multiple species but you are not granular enough in your search.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Our rescue African ringneck Keto talks, he knows a few phrases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">He will say &#8220;pretty bord&#8221; and if you engage him he will say &#8220;pretty bord&#8221; 7 times in a row ~ 9 times a day ~ be careful what you wish for.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Quakers are plump little birds with short tails.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Ringnecks are long-tail birds so right off the bat you have housing considerations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Ringnecks also come in assorted flavors like African ringnecks, <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 24px\">Indian<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 24px\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">ringnecks, and assorted Australian ringnecks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Three sizes three continents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Asking about getting a conure makes me chuckle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\">Respectfully there are probably a hundred and twenty species of conures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 18pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dev.windycityparrot.com\/blog\/2016\/03\/03\/many-conure-species-youd-amazed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How Many Conure Species Are There?
